School cadets call-on Hon'ble
President of India and Chief of the Air Staff at Delhi...
A group of twenty cadets of this school accompanied
by Principal and staff visited New Delhi and Air Force Station Ambala form 22
Jun 09 to 30 Jun 09. During the visit to Delhi, the cadets called-on the
President of India Smt Pratibha Devi Singh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhawan on 24
Jun 09 who interacted with the group. The Honourable President advised the
young minds to work hard with dedication and contribute in the noble task of
nation building. Thereafter the group visited Air Headquarters to meet with the
Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal PV Naik AVSM, VSM, ADC who himself is
an alumnus of Sainik School Satara. During a frank interaction, the CAS urged
the youth to be disciplined and tough to face the challenges to make our nation
stronger. The group stayed at Air Force Station Ambala on 26/27 June where they
were exposed to the three fighter Squadrons, Missile Sqn, Jaguar Simulator and
other important installations of a fighter base. The cadets also visited Army
formations and had first hand knowledge of basic aspects of operations in the
Armed Forces. The motivational tour has widened the mental horizon of the
cadets from North East through interaction with eminent personalities and are
motivated to excel in every field of activity through grit and determination.
