Sainik School Imphal is a residential English Medium
School for boys, imparting Public School education with a military bias. The
School was established on 07 Oct
1971 in the war sheds near Tulihal Airport. The school was shifted to the
present location on 05 Mar 1974. Apart from preparing the students
academically, the school endeavours to develop character, team spirit, loyalty,
esprit-de-corps and a high sense of discipline amongst students of the school.
The school is also a member of Indian Public Schools Conference (IPSC).

The School admits students from Manipur,
Mizoram, Tripura and Bhutan to class VI and IX
based on an All India Entrance Examination. Seats are reserved for each
state, SC & ST categories and for the children of defence personnel
depending upon the vacancies arising each year.
